I spent two formative high-school years at The Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science before attending Birmingham-Southern College, where I graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English. I worked as a non-profit professional in Huntsville, AL and in Atlanta, GA, where I managed the office, tracked and acknowledged donations, and assisted with fundraising events. I cultivated a love for the tech community through my efforts to learn to code and worked at The Iron Yard Atlanta as the Assistant Campus Director. I geeked out over community building, scheduling, and event logistics. Now I work at Salesforce Pardot as part of the Tech & Product Team. If it has to do with building Pardot Engineering's presence in the Atlanta tech community, helping new hires get set up for success, or making our team an excellent one to be a part of, I'm your girl.
Offline I enjoy hiking and backpacking with my husband. The kitchen is my happy place, and I'm always trying out new recipes that I find on Pinterest. I'm a firm proponent of the Oxford comma and somewhat pedantic about the conventions of the 4-way stop. I enjoy monthly meetings with my book club, where we sometimes talk about the book we've read (anything from pop fiction to literature to non-fiction!) but also drink wine and eat lots of cheese. I take entirely too many pictures of my cat.
